Velvet is a virtual electronic piano that combines five legendary electric pianos from the 60s and 70s in one versatile instrument.

Based on Fender Rhodes Suitcase, Fender Rhodes MK I and MK II Stage Pianos, Wurlitzer 200A and Hohner Pianet-T and faithfully emulates the sound quality and nuances of each original instrument. Plus, Velvet has a range of effects and lets you control every aspect of the sound for unprecedented realism.

Turn on the tube drive controls to warm up the tone; Adjust the tone, dynamics, velocity curve, pedal and mechanical keyboard noise to recreate the authentic sound of an electric piano track.

Using patented dynamic modeling, a unique combination of optimized sampling and modeling techniques, the Velvet is capable of producing highly realistically recreated classic electric piano sounds with superior accuracy and dynamic response. In addition, the Velvet features a revolutionary Vintage mode, allowing for the timeless sounds that can be heard on countless classic recordings.

The Vintage mode intelligently adjusts the tone to match the Velvet’s sound character to a particular vintage electric piano. The Velvet has a built-in preamp and effect matrix to add crunch, ambiance or tremolo to your track.

Its powerful preamp section includes tube overdrive, compressor and 3-band EQ with parametric mid-band to shape your sound. Process your sound with a wide variety of distortion, wah / filter, chorus, flanger, phaser, and delay effects to emulate vintage sound or create something new.

Ambience, Spring and Room reverb can add expansive ambience to create otherworldly effects, or use small room reverb to add a little color to your performance.

You can also add tremolo and auto pan effects, modeled after the original electric pianos. Velvet includes 350+ professional presets, programmed by sound engineers from Air Music Technology, and you can easily evoke authentic electric piano sounds.
