The STRADIVARI CELLO captures every detail and nuance of a beautiful centuries-old instrument in a modern instrument with advanced parameter controls. Built in 1700 by arguably the greatest luthier of all time, the Stradivarius “Stauffer” cello is renowned for its rich, warm tone – perfect for adding depth and personality to anything from classical string arrangements to modern electronic compositions.

Customise your tone
The low string fingerboard position provides a soothing, soft sound, while the high string fingerboard position is brighter and more energetic. You can also select the Smart fingerboard position, which automatically selects the fingerboard position closest to it. to other notes played, just like a true virtuoso cellist would.

STRADIVARI CELLO offers 20 articulations, including long, short, expressive, dynamic and special. Use Virtuoso adaptive articulation to combine multiple articulations in real time to suit your performance.
Mix multiple mic positions
Place your cello in the ideal acoustic space. The multi-mic version of the instrument features mix faders that let you customise three separate mixes for up to 32 microphones. Mix the near, middle and far mic positions. The included second version of STRADIVARI CELLO provides a stereo mix that saves CPU and RAM resources, speeding up the workflow and allowing you to better concentrate on the composition.
A unique recording process
The sound of STRADIVARI CELLO was recorded using a specially selected combination of microphones and preamplifiers. The specially designed acoustic environment of the Auditorium Giovanni Arvedi in Cremona. Every possible measure was taken to preserve the subtlest characteristics of this unique instrument, even the traffic near the auditorium was stopped during the recording.
The Violin Museum, located in Cremona, the birthplace of these precious instruments, displays rare and priceless historical instruments spanning several centuries and reflecting the rich tradition of Cremonese artisan instrument making.
The Giovanni Arvedi Auditorium, designed by Italian architect Giorgio Palù with the help of acoustic pioneer Yasuhisa Toyota, was specially built to ensure that every fine detail of the stringed instruments sounds their best.
The sounds of the Stradivari cello were recorded by a virtuoso performer from different microphone positions to capture all the possible timbres of the instrument.

Flex Vibrato instruments retain the signature vibrato modeled on live performance, but now with improved sound design and refined legato transitions for an even smoother sound. The original instruments remain unchanged and remain fully compatible with existing projects
True Vibrato instruments include the Virtuoso, Sustain, and Marcato articulations with naturally executed vibrato, as well as all previously available articulations such as Shorts and Expressive
